In 2017 Jim spoke at the Arboricultural Association’s 51st National Amenity Conference, held at Exeter University. The title of the talk was ‘Surveying trees for bats; can we do better?’. During the presentation Jim shared the key findings of his research with delegates. He highlighted shortcomings of current survey methods and posed the question ‘can we do better?’
